Theresa B. Torseth
MANAGING PARTNER, EXECUTIVE TALENT SELECTION

As the head of Human Securities Executive Search practice, it is Theresa’s job to listen, assess and build relationships. She listens to the plans of our clients and for the passion of the people who can accomplish them. She assesses the skills, values and leadership competencies of senior and executive talent and for their match with your organization. Building relationships of trust and service is core to our business—and core to who Theresa is as an individual.
Since 1996, she has been involved with all aspects of executive search and has participated in hiring nearly 200 professionals and leaders in commercial real estate, finance and banking, retail, transportation, manufacturing and not-for-profit. In her earlier career, Theresa contracted with and learned from other successful boutique retained search firms. In the real estate industry alone, she had made over 100 placements in commercial real estate investment, development, construction, architecture & engineering and asset management.
Theresa gets excited about matching innovative, thought-provoking leaders with companies that are serving their industry in a sustainable way. She likes big thinkers, problem-solvers, and go-to people who know how to maximize the talents of each member of their team.
For 6 years prior to executive search, Theresa led sessions supporting team effectiveness, organization and building with SportsMind, a national corporate training and development firm. As Director of Sales & Marketing, clients included AT&T, Microsoft and EDS. Previously she founded, built and then sold Events Management Corporation, a company that designed and managed marketing-related special events for a Fortune 500 clientele. A BA in Communications and Business from U of WA, a multitude of courses in leadership, teamwork, quality, assessment and facilitation, and a lifelong commitment to learning support her work.
Theresa is active in her community and serves on the Board of Seattle Children’s Home; she spends time in her garden, sailing and traveling. Her husband Rick and daughter Annika are the stars in her life.
